Zambian man burns brother’s house after being advised to stop eating uncooked beans

ZAMBIA – A Man of Masaiti district who out of anger burnt his brother’s house after being advised to stop eating uncooked beans will now spend 12 months in jail.

Ndola Magistrate Benny Akende, sentenced Aubrian kabalu to one year imprisonment with hard labour.

kabalu aged 22 of Mutububu Village in chief Mushili’s area was convicted on one count of malicious damage to property for burning his brother’s grass-thatched house worth K2,200.

On may, 3 this year, the unemployed youth picked up a quarrel with his elder brother over his appetite for uncooked beans.
