Three people handed 155 years for killing an albino man in Mangochi

High Court Judge Mzondi Mvura in Mangochi has sentenced three men to a total of 155 years imprisonment with hard labor for killing Saidi Dayton, a person with Albinism.

Mvura has sentenced the three to 68 and half years for murder, 48 and half years for extracting human tissues and 38 and half years for trafficking a person with an intention to harming him, which totals to 155 years Imprisonment with hard labor.

The sentences will be served concurrently starting from the day they were arrested, meaning that the three will serve 67 years.

The three James Khang’a, Sumaili Nikisi and Gayesi Katupe all from Kadewere Village, TA Chowe in Mangochi committed the crime on 5 January 2021.
