An angry mob has killed a man suspected to have stolen chickens at Lipunga village Sub-Traditional Authority Kapunula in Mchinji district.

Mchinji police publicist, Limbani Mpinganjira has identified the deceased as Zindikirani Mbewe, aged 35, who was allegedly spotted yesterday stealing chickens from a kraal before some angry community members apprehended him and assaulted him to death.

Postmortem results have revealed that the death was due to blood loss.

Mpinganjira said police are currently hunting for the perpetrators of the mob Justice.

Zindikirani Mbewe hailed from Lipunga village in the area of Sub Traditional Authority Kapunula in Mchinji district.
