Sunbird assures of improved service delivery

Sunbird Tourism plc says it is continuously working to improve services and infrastructure to enhance customer’s experience.

The Malawi Stock Exchange-listed hotel chain’s head of sales, marketing and distribution Temwa Kanjadza said this on Thursday in Blantyre at a cocktail organised for the hotel chain’s bookers.

She said Sunbird Tourism plc values customers’ needs in an industry that is becoming competitive and offering new products and services.

“Sunbird strives to always be the best in terms of service delivery and offers best hospitality. We get feedback from our clients who are key to us and this gives us room to improve and serve them better,” she said.

Kanjadza said Sunbird is doing a number of renovations, improvements and upgrades in its establishments.

“We are getting ready to launch the state-of-art beach facing facility at Sunbird Waterfront [in Salima]. The facility will have a restaurant which accommodates groups and another for guests looking for private experience.

“We will also soon be breaking ground for an eco-lodge in Majete Game Reserve [in Chikwawa], targeting the travellers for both leisure and business,” she said.

One of the clients, Lucy Msiska of Kamuzu University of Health Sciences commended Sunbird for the role it plays in improving the country’s hospitality sector.

She said: “Sunbird has strived to improve its services and we applaud them for this. Their infrastructure and service delivery is one of the best on the market. We urge them to continue with such.”

Sunbird has nine properties including four city hotels in all three regions of Malawi namely; Sunbird Capital, Sunbird Mount Soche, Sunbird Lilongwe, and Sunbird Mzuzu, three beach resorts along Lake Malawi namely; Sunbird Waterfront, Sunbird Livingstonia, Sunbird Nkopola, a beachside Inn on the northern lakeshore, Sunbird Chintheche and an iconic mountain resort in Zomba; Sunbird Kuchawe.
