Silver Strikers apologizes to FAM over fracas during FDH Cup Quarter-finals

Silver Strikers Football Club has issued an apology to Football Association of Malawi (FAM), FDH Bank, Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club and FAM competitions and communications director Gomezgani Zakazaka following incidents of hooliganism that occurred on August 18 at Silver Stadium in Area 47, Lilongwe.

The violence occurred during a match between the club and Nyasa Big Bullets.

The club has issued the apology through a press release dated February 25.

“Silver Strikers Football Club management hereby unreservedly apologises to all football stakeholders and supporters for the unfortunate and deplorable events that happened on that day. Such conduct has no place in modern football and in any professional sports activity,” reads part of the apology.
