Salima Sugar Company has dumped Mighty Wanderers Football Club barely hours after the club signed a K175 million sponsorship with Mukuru.

Wanderers chairman for Commercialization drive, Clement Stambuli, has confirmed the development in an interview with local media.

In a letter dated 15 June 2022 addressed to Wanderers signed by Salima Sugar Company Secretary, Dr Charles Thupi, said the decision not to renew the contract with the team is purely a business decision.

Salima Sugar was providing Wanderers with a monthly MK5 million financial support.
