Renowned artist Praise Umali on Friday night proved his worth during his much-anticipated show Before April Live Experience, Third Edition at Sunbird Mt Soche.

This was the artist’s third time to hold such an event performing an intimate set for his fans and belting out some of his popular songs.

The artist exhibited his instrument playing skills as he held onto his guitar strumming it as he sung song after song.

The artist had indicated that he had some surprises for his fans and the ‘surprises’ came one by one.

The artist, who recently released his album What We Become, was joined by artists such as Onesimus, Teddy Makadi, Eli Njuchi, Nathaniel Chaluchalu and rapper Classick265.

“It is basically me trying to create intimate moments with my fans and getting to interact with them where they will get an insight into the songs, inspiration behind the songs, and have a cozy kind of concert where they sing along to songs,” Umali told The Nation in an earlier interview.

“Fans should expect new music because I have just released an album called What We Become and there will be surprise acts coming in, so people should be ready for good surprises too.”

Praise Umali has two albums under his belt, September and the newly-released, What We Become. Recently, he has enjoyed airplays with hits such as Ku Tiyeni, Mukadalitsa, among others.

After the performance, Onesimus said his surprise appearance was a show of support.

“I am glad I could support my brother tonight. It has been great,” he said.

The well-patronised event was made possible in collaboration with Sunbird Tourism plc.
