Police investigates Mtsiliza murder

Lingadzi Police has instituted an investigation into the murder of a 39-year-old man Maxwell Kalinde at Mtsiliza area in Lilogwe.

The incident happened on May 10, 202.

Sub inspector Salomy Zgambo Lingadzi Police PRO said it is reported Kalinde had a normal day chilling with his friends.

Around 8pm, he received a phone call but did not disclose to his friends as to who called him.

Immediately after their conversation on the phone call, he left the place to meet his unknown caller.

His housemate was surprised in the morning to notice that his friend never reported home.

He called his brother to find out if he slept there since he stays within the same location but his brother denied to have accommodated him.

Later, the body of Maxwell was discovered lying lifeless by the roadside at Mtsiliza residential area close to Seventh day Adventist Church.

Police took the body to Kamuzu Central Hospital where postmortem revealed that Maxwell was murdered by unknown assailants.

Maxwell Kalinde hailed from Chambala Village,  Traditional Authority Tambala in Dedza.
