Police Arrest 2, Recovers 25 Bicycles In Rumphi

Police in Rumphi have Arrested 2 men identified as Mark Ng’ambi and Karosi Theza in connection to the theft of 25 bicycles in the district.

According to spokesperson for Rumphi police station, Sergeant Tupeliwe Kabwilo, the bicycles were recovered in areas of Phwezi and Bale in the area of Traditional Authority Mwankhunikira in the district.

The arrests comes at a time when latest statistics from the district police station show that, In the first quarter of 2022, the police station registered almost 107 criminal cases, a decrease in the same period in 2021 where at least 116 cases were recorded.

The two will appear before court soon.
