Former President Professor Peter Mutharika is scheduled to grace a public rally organized by the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) at Njamba freedom Park on May 12, 2024.

Mutharika has confirmed of the development in a short statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

“Dear Friends,

“Let’s meet at Njamba Freedom Park on May 12th. Let’s join hands towards making Malawi better again,” wrote Mutharika on his facebook.

This will be the first rally for Mutharika in Blantyre since being booted out of power in 2020 polls which saw President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera being declared winner.

Mutharika is scheduled to contest again in the forthcoming 2025 polls.
