Mangochi Police Search for Suspects in Businessman’s Murder

Police in the district of Mangochi are currently searching for unknown individuals believed to have murdered a 24-year-old businessman.

The victim, Idrisa Kassim, was a wheat flour seller from Chigwaja Village and was well-known in the Chiponde area.

According to Mangochi Police publicist, Amina Daudi, Kassim had gone to Salima on 17th January to conduct his trade with his partner.

However, his partner returned on the same day while Kassim stayed behind to collect money.

He was last seen on 20th January, on his way back to Mangochi.

Tragically, Kassim’s body was later discovered in a decomposed state by some boys who were fishing within Mangochi town.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he had died from strangulation.

The police are urging anyone with information related to this case to come forward and assist with their investigation.
