Police in Zomba are keeping in custody a 49 year old clinical officer for St. Luke Hospital for allegedly defiling his 3 year old biological daughter.

Zomba Police public relations officer Sub-Inspector Patricia Sipiliano said that the child came to her mother while crying uncontrollably saying that “dad injected me”

This prompted the mother to undress the child who then discovered stains of blood at her private parts.

“She came to report to Domasi Police station where the victim was issued a medical report and referred to Domasi Hospital for treatment and examination. At the hospital, Health Personnel confirmed that the victim had been defiled,” said Sipiliano.

Meanwhile, the man has been arrested and is expected to appear in court soon to answer the charges leveled against him.

He hails from Chimala Village Traditional Authority Mtwalo in Mzimba District.
