There is heavy police presence at the Anti-Chizuma demonstrations in Lilongwe as protesters are now heading to Parliament to deliver petition to the Public Appointments Committee after delivering two petitions to the Lilongwe District Commissioner.

A grouping calling itself Concerned Citizens is pushing for either the resignation or firing of the the ACB Chief Martha Chizuma over her infamous leaked audio some months ago.

Delivering the petition at the Council’s offices, Leader of the grouping Redson Munlo says they want President Lazarus Chakwera to dismiss Chizuma.

Receiving the petition, Lilongwe DC Dr. Lawford Palani says he will deliver the petition to responsible officers.

The concerned citizens claim Chizuma broke her oath of office by giving out information of her office in the leaked audio.
