Church of Christ Donates Medical Equipment to Kabudula Hospital

The Kabudula Community Hospital, situated on the outskirts of the capital Lilongwe, received a half billion kwacha equipment from the Church of Christ Action for progress this week Monday.

Their generous donation state –of-the-art medical equipment, valued at a staggering half a billion kwacha, brings hope to the over five thousand residents dependent on the hospital’s care.

The hospital’s in-charge Dr.Mackson Zephaniah, emphasized on the critical issue of neonatal mortality at the facility. Dr Mackson added that the high mortality rate, through reduced from 13 to 9 per 1000 births last year, to the absence of a nursery facility for new-borns.Dr Mackson observed that the situation was worrisome and that it needed to be contained, especially when compared to the more favorable statistics of sister hospital under the Lilongwe District Health office.

Pastor Chester Mbewe, the board chairperson, said they shared the concerns of the hospital with their partner’s abroad, culminating in the donation they have made. Pastor Mbewe   hopes the equipment they have donated will help improve the situation at the facility.

Speaking after receiving the donation, the hospital’s in-charge Dr  Mackson appreciated Church of Christ for the donation.

He concluded that they aspire for Kabudula Community Hospital to epitomize excellence in medical care delivery, and this contribution marks a significant stride toward achieving they vision.
