Blantyre Synod Seeks Congregational Aid to Settle K2 Billion Debt

Recently, the General Secretary for the Blantyre Synod, Rev. Anderson Juma, disclosed a significant debt of K2 billion incurred from various sources for developmental activities.

In response to the financial crisis, the Blantyre Synod has initiated a special appeal strategy, urging its congregants to contribute K10,000 each by the end of the year.

To further address the debt, the Synod has also requested 10 percent of the tithe collected by each pastor every week.

A letter outlining these urgent financial requests was read in all churches today, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
