Namibia vice-president Nangolo Mbumba has been sworn-in as the country’s new President following the death of Hage Geingob.
Dr. Mbumba has been sworn-in on Sunday by Chief Justice Peter Shivute and is expected to see off Geingob’s term until the next elections. The new President, served as vice-president for Namibia since 2018.
Mbumba has also served in a number of government positions, including that of Minister of Finance, Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Agriculture, among some key portfolios.
Meanwhile, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has also been sworn-in as the country’s vice-president.
