The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has impounded 2,023 cases of Sobo Orange Squash from Nano Investments in Maone Industrial Area in Blantyre.

MBS Director General Bernard Thole says the company received a tip from the public and after an investigation it was established that the dealer was tampering with expiry dates of the commodity.

MBS has since intensified surveillance to ensure that consumers are not exposed to defective products.
