40-Year-Old Man Sentenced 18 Years Imprisonment For Robbing Castel Vehicle Loaded With Beverages, K1.5 Million Cash And 4 Computers

The Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court has sentenced 40-year old Wiseman Aiwa to 18 years imprisonment for robbing a vehicle loaded with assorted Castel beverages valued at K11.7 million, K1.5 million cash and four computers.

Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Foster Benjamin has told us that Aiwa, who is a former manager at the Six Miles distribution point killed a security guard Madalitso Likwe during the night of March 31 2022, when the crime was committed.

Three others connected to the crime are still at large and according to State Prosecutor Inspector Richard Kandeya, before being arrested, Aiwa and his accomplices vanished with a two-tonner van registration number CK 7562 that was loaded with 208 crates of assorted drinks.
