The Zomba High Court has ordered the United Democratic Front (UDF) to reinstate suspended party governor Abdul Razak Nkata for the Eastern Region immediately.

The court also nullified Nkata’s suspension and the appointment of Kennedy Kuntenga as acting regional governor.

The court deemed Nkata’s suspension unconstitutional and done without due process.

It has also ordered damages for lost privileges and rights associated with the governor position.

The UDF party is yet to receive the official judgment.
