Esther Lungu, a wife to Zambia’s former president Edgar Lungu has said she will leave everything in the hands of God and let him fight for her amid her investigations by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC).
Mrs. Lungu was speaking yesterday in Lusaka where Patriotic Front (PF) went to give her solidarity.
According to Mrs. Lungu, there is always light at the end of tunnel and asked those who are being prosecuted like her to keep their trust in God and keep fighting.
“Passing through such difficult times need you to have a shoulder to lean on, only God will vindicate us as he knows what is inside out. There is indeed light at the end of the tunnel” said Mrs. Lungu.
She further added that Zambians will help her fighting for her flats which the DEC is investigating her for.
Last week, DEC announced that they are in possession of 15 flats which are in the name of the former first lady believed to be proceeds of crime.
