Zambian Youths Using Witchcraft To Dupe Mobile Money Operators Nabbed

A young man has been clobbered and another almost lynched after they wanted to steal K4000 and K10, 000 cash each, from mobile money operators In Lusaka, in suspected witchcraft acts.

One of the unidentified young men was locked in a ZANACO mobile money shop and beaten by the public after he had asked for a K10, 000 deposit transaction without having the actual cash on him.

Another young man was saved from being lynched after he explained that a man had asked him to buy eggs and candles to use as charms to dupe mobile money Operators.

The duo was nabbed in Kalikiliki compound and is currently in police custody.
