A woman of Nakonde district has burnt her grade one child with boiling water on suspicions she stole money in the house.

Despite the juvenile denying committing the offence, the annoyed mother Hellen Nankamba, 33 of Chikwanda village boiled water and grabbed the victim from her father before tipping her fingers in the water which was still on the fire.

The father later reported the matter to the police, upon which she was arrested before getting a police bond. The suspect is today expected to appear in the Nakonde Magistrate Court.
