Zambian Solder Promoted For Rescuing Teacher From Angry Who Bounced On Him After Being Suspected Killing Child Using Juju

Zambia Correctional Service Commissioner General Fredrick Chilukutu has with immediate effect promoted Inspector Edward Mbewe of Kalomo Correctional Centre to the rank of Chief Inspector for exhibiting an act of gallantry.

The act of gallantry was exhibited by the Officer after rescuing a teacher of Njase Girls High School who was being attacked by a mob of young men on accusation of causing the death of his 29- year old son wizardly.

Inspector Mbewe was on official duty ferrying mourners to the grave site along Dundumwezi road.

Mr Chilukutu says such acts of gallantry being exhibited by Correctional Service Officers has continued to raise the good image of the Service and also instill confidence in the Service by members of the public.

The Correctional Chief has since congratulated now Chief Inspector Edward Mbewe.
