Police in Zambia have launched a manhunt for a secondary school teacher who impregnated his own pupil.

According to a statement by Muchinga Province Commanding Officer Kaunda Mubanga, the suspect is Chrispine Mwale of Kapamba Secondary School.

The teacher is accused of def!ling a 15-year-old girl on several occasions in “different lodges within Mpika.”

Mr Mubanga has said the suspect started going out with the teenager last year in June and was recently discovered pregnant.

The pupil is now reportedly 4 months pregnant with twins.

Meanwhile, the police have asked the community to assist them with whereabouts or any information on the suspect.
