A self-proclaimed prophet has swindled a Choma based couple of K60,000 on the pretext of wanting to bless the money.

Testifying in the Choma Magistrate, the couple explained that they sought the services of the prophet to pray for their sick daughter who had been bedridden.

The couple added that upon coming to their house the accused person told the family that unknown spirits told him that the family was in possession of huge sum of money which he needed to anoint.
