An eighteen-year-old housewife of Lusaka’s Mtendere compound has become the latest victim of gender-based violence after she was hit with a beer bottle by her husband, who got upset with her for wearing a mini skirt.

The victim Blessings Nakawala who sustained a deep cut on her head is currently admitted at Mtendere Clinic.

Speaking in an interview with S24’s roving reporter, Tito Kalama, the victim’s mother has vowed to end her daughter’s marriage because she has been subjected to Gender Based Violence.
