A resident of Hopley in Harare, Zimbabwe, identified as Tichafa Mugwaga, has been arrested and brought before Harare Regional Magistrate Mr.

Taurai Manuwere for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend after she ended their relationship. Mugwaga, aged 40, was charged with attempted murder.

The incident occurred on April 30th around 7 p.m. when Rosemary Moyo, aged 39, informed Mugwaga of her decision to leave him.

As Moyo gathered her belongings to depart from Mugwaga’s residence, he reportedly attacked her with a knife while escorting her to the bus stop, causing an injury to her collarbone.

Moyo was taken to a hospital for treatment and survived the attack. Mugwaga was subsequently arrested, granted bail of US$50, and remanded in custody until June 4th.
