Zambian Man Arrested for allegedly threating to shoot deaf ex-wife after an argument

A Lusaka man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot dead his ex-wife with a pistol after an argument.

Frankson Kachana, 47, of Avondale, Lusaka, is alleged to have followed his ex-lover to Livingstone, where he threatened to kill her for unknown reasons.

Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said in an interview that the matter was reported to Livingstone Central Police Station at midnight on Friday by Naomi Moono, 38.

“The case occurred on July 21, 2022 at around 22:00 hours at house number 673 Ellen Britel, Livingstone,” he said.

In attempting to defend herself, Ms Moono assaulted Mr Kachana using her nails.

“The firearm has been retrieved and is deposited in the armoury for safety.”
