A twenty-six old graduate of Lusaka’s Garden House area committed suicide after failing to pay lenders who borrowed him K14,000 to invest in a chicken run business.

Reports indicate that the deceased, Lewis Mukuni borrowed money from many people but the business did not generate enough capital to offset the debt.

His cousin Denwid Mapulanga narrated that the family promised to assist him settle the debt when he explained to them the state of his business but before money could be mobilized the deceased disappeared on Sunday this week before throwing himself in a well today.

The family discovered voice notes on his phone where he apologized for taking his own.
