A 16-year-old schoolboy from Overspill Township in Lusaka, Zambia, has appeared in court for allegedly defiling a girl he met through the photo and video sharing social networking service, Instagram.

The alleged incident took place on August 15th of last year and has resulted in the schoolboy being charged with defilement.

According to police investigations, the schoolboy and the victim frequently chatted online and eventually met in person at the victim’s home in Kamwala South.

The victim’s mother was at work at the time of the alleged incident and saw three missed calls from her house help when she returned.
