Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema fire Inspector General of Police

Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema has fired Inspector General of Police Lemmy Kajoba and replaced him with and replaced him with Graphel Musonda.

The President has also relieved Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration) Mrs Doris Nayame Chibombe of her duties, awaiting re-deployment and he has since appointed Ms Alita Mbahwe, former Commissioner, Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration).

The Head of State has also transferred Mrs. Yvone C. Mpundu, Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise to the Ministry of Agriculture as Permanent Secretary (Administration).

Meanwhile, President Hakainde Hichilema has terminated the contracts of four Permanent Secretaries, namely: Mr Wisdom Bwalya, Mrs. Perpetual Mphande Chuulu, Mr. Danny Mfune and Mr John Msimuko.

The President has also transferred Mr. Chembo Mbula, Permanent Secretary (Administration) at theMinistry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to Cabinet Office as Permanent Secretary, Special Duties, whereas Mrs Chilufya Darko, Permanent Secretary at Cabinet Office and ProfessorLackson Kasonka, Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Health, will be redeployed
