Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema captured dancing at a funeral ceremony of founder of Gonde Lwiindi Culture Group

Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema on Tuesday attended the funeral ceremony of founder of Gonde Lwiindi Culture Group Austin ‘Nsabata’ Mwiinga in Tebe area of Mazabuka under Chief Mwanachingwala of Southern Province.

Austin Mwiinga popularly known as Nsabata played a pivotal role in preaching messages of hope and culture heritage through his numerous songs.

Despite the event being a sorrowful one, Hakainde Hichilema joined mourners in dancing to celebrate the life of the deceased.

writing on his official facebook page after the funeral ceremony Hakainde Hichilema said he was deeply shocked with the death of Austin Mwiinga.

“Though he is gone, his messages through songs, Nsabata leaves on and we encourage artists out there to continue delivering messages of hope through their artistic works.

“During the funeral procession, a total of 36 herd of cattle (cows, bulls and oxens) was contributed by ourselves and fellow mourners which will be handed over to his children. K50, 000 and a piece of land was also contributed,” said Hakainde Hichilema.

He added: “To Nsabata: You ran your race and to his surviving family, now is time to remain united and carry on with his works.”
