A 28-year-old man in Nakonde district was in the early hours of Wednesday found lifeless along the pipeline in Katozi village by members of the public.

Muchinga province deputy commanding officer Lucky Buumba identified the deceased as Isaac Kaliwawa who is believed to have been murdered by unknown people.

However residents spoken to by Nakonde Radio FM news have called for intensified efforts in mitigating the escalating numbers of deaths being experienced in the district.

Meanwhile Old Fife ward councilor Jackson Chomba who rushed to the scene has expressed sadness towards the development noting that heightened measures need to be put in place in safe guarding people’s lives.

And Namwita section chairperson Seeker Sikanyika has charged that neighborhood watch groups should be formulated in helping curb criminal activities in the area.

Violet Kapila and Gift Simwanza have both implored residents in the village to cease Loitering in the night further expressing fear with some criminal activities emanating in the area
