Chawezi Sichinga, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested by Neno police for allegedly administering corporal punishment to a 14-year-old girl caught stealing popcorn valued at K200.

Austin Kamwendo, the publicist at Neno police station, revealed that the suspect had beaten the child, resulting in a broken arm.

The injured teenager was admitted to Neno District Hospital awaiting PoP treatment, while the suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
