Witness Granted In-Camera Testimony in Allan Witika Murder Trial by High Court

The High Court in Lilongwe has approved the request for Olive Nkhono, a key witness in the Allan Witika murder case, to testify in-camera.

State lawyers petitioned for this closed-door session due to Nkhono’s close ties to both the victim and the accused, citing potential emotional distress.

Despite defense opposition, Justice Mzondi Mvula upheld the State’s application, emphasizing the need for Nkhono’s well-being and fair trial procedures.

As proceedings continue, Allan’s uncle takes the stand as the first witness, with the state preparing to present four more witnesses.
