Wikise summoned over Njoyako

Atlas Realtors has summoned brand ambassador musician Wikise over the release of his latest song Njoyako.
According to communication that we have seen, the property and estate agent dealers say they find the song not to be in tandem with the contract the musician signed with the company.

“Among other duties and responsibilities, as our brand ambassador, you are supposed to influence the target market to buy services and products of Atlas Realtors by educating them on the importance of the same,” reads the communication in part, which has been signed by the company’s senior sales and marketing officer Laurent Kwakwala.

The song in question among other things suggests an amount such as K10 thousand is not enough for one to buy or build a house.

The Chikaphulikire creator confirmed being summoned to a meeting and said he will only comment further on the issue after meeting the company’s officials tomorrow.

In a separate interview, Kwakwala said it is too early for them to comment on the matter. He said the communication was meant for the musician alone and that it is unfortunate that it has been leaked to the public.

According to the letter, the agenda of the meeting is to discuss the future of the artist’s role as the company’s ambassador. The company announced the one-year deal with the artist in February this year which was estimated to be around K4 million.
