Wife Arrested For Killing Husband Over K2, 000 In Lilongwe

Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe have arrested a 28-year-old woman, Catherine Hardwell for allegedly killing her husband, Zimtamba Lumbadzi, over K2,000.00.

According to Sosten Malijani, on May 29, 2023, suspect sold firewood amounting to MK2,000.00. The following day, the husband asked for the money which did not please his wife and a quarrel broke.

In the process, Hardwell held the husband by the neck and hit him against the wall. Following this, Lumbadzi sustained injuries on his head and died.

Following the report, Police took the dead body to Kamuzu Central Hospital pending postmortem.

Lumbadzi, 48, hailed from Pemba Village while the suspect hails from Chize Village both of Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe.

Police wish to remind people in the area to use good ways of sorting out their issues unlike using violence to avoid similar incidents.
