A Nigerian woman named Amarachi Ugwuanyi believes that weddings aren’t expensive, and extravagant spending is just an attempt to impress others.

She expressed this viewpoint as she shared photos of her own simple wedding that occurred in a living room on Facebook.

The photos depicted her in a modest red dress with minimal makeup, and her husband in casual attire, with less than 10 guests present at the ceremony.

She wrote in part, “Wedding is not expensive, na you wan impress village people”.
