A Jubba Airways plane from Baidoa crashed at Aden Adde international airport in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
A Jubba Airways plane crashed and overturned on the Mogadishu airport runway on Monday July 18 before catching fire.
Dramatic footage shows the aircraft upside down on the edge of the runway as a fierce fire consumes it and thick smoke billows from it.
The plane was on a domestic flight from Baidoa to the Somalia capital when the crash occurred.
Firefighters intervened quickly to extinguish the flames in the middle of the rubble. Local officials said all 30 passengers and crew were rescued.
The cause of the accident is not yet determined. The company said the plane was a turboprop Fokker-50.
