Wenya Ward Councillor Piason Kapira and three others are reportedly dead after a vehicle they were travelling in got involved in road accident.

Kapira was travelling with 14 others from Wenya to Chitipa Boma.

Chitipa Council Spokesperson Bishop Witmos has confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press.

According to Bishop Witmos, four were pronounced dead on arrival at Wenya Health Centre.

Until his death councilor Kapira was Chairperson of the Agriculture Service Committee at the council.
