Information reaching this publication indicates that Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) Secretary General Wakuda Kamanga has resigned from his post with immediate effect.

The development comes barely a week after some AFORD youths chased Kamanga out of the office in the capital Lilongwe accusing him of being a spy of Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Kamanga is said to have leaked some classified information which contain top secrets to MCP.

But Kamanga says his sins are that he rendered an interview with a reporter where is quoted to he saying “AFORD is still weighing options” on whether to enter into alliance with other parties or not.

Meanwhile, Kamanga has reported his assault to police
