Vehicle driven by Malawian involved in road accident in Zambia, two people killed

Two people have died while five others including the driver, sustained serious injuries after a lorry they were traveling in overturned just before Luangwa bridge on the Great East Road.

Police Spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga confirmed the accident in telephone interview with ZNBC News.

Mr. Hamoonga says the five victims have been admitted to Katondo Mission Hospital, while the bodies have been deposited at Luangwa District Hospital mortuary.

He said the accident happened around 17 hours at Luangwa market when the driver a Malawian lost control of the vehicle and overturned.
