‘UTM MPs have not relocated to opposition benches in Parliament’ –Mwenefumbo

United Transformation Movement (UTM) has distanced itself from reports hovering on the social media claiming that its lawmakers have relocated to opposition benches in the National Assembly.

Earlier today, the social media was awash with reports that UTM MPs have asked Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara to allow them relocate to the opposition benches in the August House once deliberations commences this coming Thursday.

According to the reports, the MPs who are four in total are not happy that no one is included in the just released 30 member Cabinet of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

“The UTM has come across some concocted dark propaganda that is circulating on social media, purporting that the UTM Members of Parliament have written the Right Honourable Speaker to allocate them to the opposition benches; this is false. It is just a mountain of malignant fantasies from ill minds,” reads in part the statement.
