United Transformation Movement (UTM) Youth Director for the north Lenzo Kiyombo has resigned from his post and the party.

Kiyombo has since joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) which is headed by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Minister of Sports Uchizi Mkandawire welcomed Kiyombo today in Mzuzu.

Kiyombo has since promised to support President Chakwera ahead of the forthcoming 2025 Presidential polls.

UTM is yet to comment on the matter.
