Martha Chizuma, the director general of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, will not be present at her scheduled court hearing for a leaked audio case in Lilongwe.
According to Chizuma’s lawyer, Martha Kaukonde, the defense team will file for an adjournment and will be represented by Powell Nkhutabasa, Ayuba James, and Mercy Chijere from the Women Lawyers Association.
Chizuma is currently in Blantyre attending to another case.
Chizuma was supposed to appear before court for plea taking following her fresh legal challenge over last year’s leaked audio.
Initially, she was supposed to take plea yesterday but her layers asked for a reschedule to today.
