One more person has died at Ntcheu District Hospital following a road accident in the district; taking the death toll to four now.

Ntcheu District Hospital spokesperson Stella Kawalala has confirmed the development; adding currently there are 9 casualties with no referral case.

Earlier, Ntcheu Police spokesperson, Rabecca Ndiwate told us that several others sustained various degrees of injuries and were receiving medical attention at the district hospital.

She says the accident occurred due to overspending as the driver of the minibus, registration number LL 1723, Stanford Liwonde, lost control of the vehicle.

The minibus had 15 passengers on board.
