Unidentified man has died this morning after being hit by an unknown motor vehicle near Blessings Hospital football ground, along the Lilongwe – Kasungu M1 road in Lumbadzi.

The motor vehicle was coming from the direction of Kanengo heading Lumbadzi and upon arrival near Blessings Hospital football ground the unknown driver knocked down the pedestrian and escaped from the scene without informing anyone including the police.

Following the impact, the victim sustained head injuries and pronounced dead on arrival at Lumbadzi Health Center.

Meanwhile, the identity of the victim could not be ascertained hence Police are calling people whose relative is missing to go to Kamuzu Central Hospital through Lumbadzi Police Station for identification.

Drivers are further reminded that it is very important to report road accident to police.
