UNIMA, MUBAS Graduation Ceremony Underway in Zomba

A total of 144 students have today graduated with certificates, diplomas, and degrees in various programs including business communication, land surveying, and midwifery.

The graduates are from UNIMA, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), and Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES).

Speaking during the graduation in Zomba UNIMA’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samson Majidu, said plans are already in the pipeline to among others increase school enrollment and construct hostels.

“We are initiating various programs to improve the quality of education, ” said Professor Majidu.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of the University of Malawi Council, George Partridge called upon the country’s universities to maintain standards.

He also disclosed that the university will make sure that students with special needs have a conducive learning environment.

Partridge said delinking of the Universities should not affect the quality of education.

He then emphasized the need to construct more hostels to ensure that there is a conducive learning environment for all students.

The government delinked the country’s universities in 2021.
