UNHCR condemns grenade attack at Dzaleka Camp

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has condemned the grenade attack which occurred at Dzaleka Camp in Dowa.

The explosion left five refugees including an 11-year-old child injured on Wednesday.

In a statement released on Friday, the agency is urging authorities to bring perpetrators of the heinous act to account.

UNHCR said it is currently supporting the victims and their families with food and and non-food items.

Dzaleka Camp currently hosts over 56,000 refugees and asylum seekers.
