Police in Mulanje on Sunday, 27 February 2022 arrested two illegal immigrants, Rahimn Najamulamin aged 24 and Rahiman Maruffur aged 22 both from Bangladesh .

On the said day at about 18:00 hours officers at Nkando Police Unit were manning a roadblock. Later, there came a minibus from the direction of Mulanje towards Limbe. When they searched it, the law enforcers noted two strange faces boarding the said vehicle.

Following this, Police arrested the two who are still in custody.

Meanwhile, the Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court in the district on Monday, 28 February, 2022 ordered a 28 – year – old Mozambican, Gift Mulosa to pay K100,000 fine or in default to stay in prison for eight months over illegal entry.
